About Chiara Rossetti

I create contemporary art that brings emotion, depth, and presence into modern interiors — artworks that don't simply decorate a wall, but shape the atmosphere of a space. I am the artist and founder behind Rossetti Art, a canvas print and original art brand built on the belief that beautiful, meaningful art should be accessible to everyone.

My name is Aikaterini, and I am an artist known professionally as Chiara Rossetti. I was born and raised in Greece and later moved to Rome, Italy, where I studied psychology. If this is the first time you're discovering my work, here is a glimpse into my journey — and into the way painting became my language of self-expression.

My Journey Into Painting

My story began in 1990, in a world full of color and curiosity — a beginning I'll always be grateful for. Creativity has been my constant companion ever since. New ideas arrive almost daily, and over time, painting became the place where those ideas could breathe: a personal outlet, a quiet ritual, and eventually, a calling.

My formal studies in painting, sculpture, and interior design deepened that passion, helping me blend technical skill with intuitive expression. Over the years, I experimented, explored, and returned to the canvas again and again — always chasing the moment when a piece begins to feel alive.

The Turning Point

During the pandemic, something shifted. With more time at home, I leaned into painting like never before. I picked up canvases, paints, and allowed my creativity to move freely — without pressure, without rules. That moment marked the true beginning of my path as an artist.

My background in psychology also played a quiet but profound role in this transformation. It taught me to see art not only as creation, but as a dialogue — between the inner self and the outer world, between emotion and form, between what we hide and what we reveal.

My Artistic Language

Painting is my sanctuary. When I put on my studio clothes, turn on music, and pick up a brush, something changes — I lose myself in the process. I'm drawn to color, texture, contrast, and the subtle tension between control and freedom.

My work spans abstract art and figurative art — bold, expressive pieces that balance emotion with visual impact. Many of the abstract canvas prints in the Rossetti Art collection come directly from this instinct: color used as emotion, form used as feeling. I often describe painting as stepping onto a train bound for an unknown destination — I begin without a fixed endpoint and let intuition guide me, shifting direction, layering, and revising until I reach the place that feels right.

With a background in interior design, I naturally imagine how an artwork will interact with light, furniture, silence, and movement — how it can elevate a room and bring lasting presence to a wall.

Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Alongside traditional techniques, I also experiment with artificial intelligence as a creative tool — not to replace the human hand, but to push boundaries and explore new possibilities. I'm fascinated by the meeting point between tradition and innovation: where timeless craft can coexist with modern technology, and where new ideas can shape the next chapter of contemporary art.

The Studio Behind My Original Paintings

A question I'm often asked is: who actually paints my original paintings? I personally design every piece — the composition, the colour palette, and the story behind it. Each artwork is then individually hand-painted by skilled artists working within the Rossetti Art studios, under my direction and according to my original design. This ensures that the painting arriving in your home carries the texture, movement, character, and artistic vision I intended.

The studios I oversee and manage are located around the world, including the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and China. I carefully selected these locations to gain access to the finest materials and craftsmanship while keeping prices as affordable as possible.

This international studio network allows me to bring genuinely hand-painted, made-to-order artworks into far more homes than I could ever create entirely on my own — without relying on prints or mass production. Every original painting is individually painted by hand, never printed, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Rossetti Art studio.

One of the most important principles behind Rossetti Art is my belief that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy meaningful art in their home, regardless of their financial circumstances. My goal is to make exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality original art accessible at a fair price, so that beautiful artwork is not reserved only for a privileged few.

Explore My Work

Over time, my creative world at Rossetti Art expanded into three distinct ways of collecting — each designed to fit different spaces, moods, and moments.

  • Canvas Prints: Contemporary canvas wall art for modern interiors — curated abstract and figurative pieces that bring presence, balance, and style into any room. Each canvas print is made to order, hand-stretched over a kiln-dried pine wood frame, and printed with archival pigment inks rated fade-resistant for 75+ years.

  • Original Paintings: Hand-painted works from the Rossetti Art studio, made from Chiara's original designs using premium acrylic paints on hand-stretched canvas — where texture, movement, and emotion exist exactly as they were made. Each one ships ready to hang with pre-installed hardware and a certificate of authenticity from the studio.

  • Modern Sculptures: Handcrafted sculptures in fiberglass or polished stainless steel, each hand-finished to its own gallery-quality surface — art that lives not only on walls, but within the space itself. Many pieces are signed by the artist and produced in limited runs, and every sculpture ships in secure, specialist protective packaging, crated for worldwide delivery.

Life Beyond the Studio

Today, I'm grateful to balance my time between creating art and working closely with collectors and customers — sometimes early mornings, sometimes late nights, always guided by inspiration.

When I'm not painting, I cherish time with my family, friends, and my wonderful partner.
